Community Support

As needs arise on the island community, we partner with the local pastor to meet those needs as we have funding.

Several years ago, we purchased a tractor for community use to work the soil to grow food.

We helped supply money to purchase materials for a safer dock on the river as the school age children wait to be transported to the main land to attend school.

Money was raised by one of our board members to construct an English school for the older children to attend for free. Learning English will help them get better jobs in the future.

Future Projects

As funding increases, we hope to start a sewing program with our amazingly talented sewing supervisor, Chanty. This program would teach high school age girls to sew, giving them an opportunity to find a good job (there are many tailor shops in the country) or have income to pay for university education.

For the boys, we would employ a local man to teach them small engine repair.
